Very happy that I stumbled on to Edale. They provided exactly what I was looking for, which was a relief given I had struggled to find any expertise in UK/US tax from various searching and somewhat inconsistent information by googling. As a UK citizen/resident I was needing help to understand the tax situation regarding 401Ks and IRAs that I had left in the US from time working there, and how the tax treaty would apply. Lawrie spent the time needed as one-off advice, explaining the situation and provided a letter to me, for use with the HMRC if ever required.

Rang the office for guidance on how to best draw down my US pension and navigate the complex tax rules, they provided a clear and optimal plan. They explained everything, from the nuances of US and UK tax laws to optimal withdrawal plan. A couple of calculations emailed to back the details referred to in the call.

Lawrie invested a great deal of time understanding our circumstances (dual US/UK nationality family) before any recommendations were discussed I am very happy with the outcome and intend to continue the relationship in the longer term.
