Met with Lawrie who is a wealth of info (no pun intended) for folks like me looking at potential of dealing with US based retirement accounts when becoming tax resident in the UK. Their rates sound very reasonable and Edale can probably save you major headaches and financial pain as these types of situations are minefields/very complex if trying to navigate alone!

Very happy that I stumbled on to Edale. They provided exactly what I was looking for, which was a relief given I had struggled to find any expertise in UK/US tax from various searching and somewhat inconsistent information by googling. As a UK citizen/resident I was needing help to understand the tax situation regarding 401Ks and IRAs that I had left in the US from time working there, and how the tax treaty would apply. Lawrie spent the time needed as one-off advice, explaining the situation and provided a letter to me, for use with the HMRC if ever required.
