My wife and I had a free consultation with Lawrie from Edale this morning. We have a difficult decision to make of how to use the substantial inheritance money that needed both US and UK expertise. We are deciding between buying to let properties in the USA and repaying our mortgage and investing in the UK. Lawrie gave us a comprehensive analysis of the pros and cons of both strategies. He also brought our awareness to maximising our pension capabilities and offsetting our UK mortgage while we are waiting for the rest of the funds from the USA to become available.
